Tuscumbia Utilities respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
Account Information: Tuscumbia Utilities will not release any account information outside the municipal government of Tuscumbia, Alabama to any entity (other than vendors contracted to provide services related to utility billing) or persons not authorized on the utility account unless required by law.
Mobile & Text Messaging Data: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates.
2. SMS Terms of Service
Tuscumbia Utilities offers text notification services to authorized staff and personnel regarding active utility accounts, field operations, and system alerts. By opting in or receiving text messages from Tuscumbia Utilities, you agree to these Terms of Service.
How to Opt In: You may opt in to receive SMS alerts in one of two ways:
1. Keyword opt-in: Text the keyword START to (256) 826-3979 from your mobile device.
2. Web form opt-in: Complete the sign-up form above and check the consent box.
Message Frequency: Message frequency varies depending on account status, field operations, and active system alerts.
Cost: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Tuscumbia Utilities does not charge a fee for receiving text messages.
Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Text STOP to (256) 826-3979 or to any message you receive to unsubscribe. After sending STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.
